Job Summary

An outstanding primary school in Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Keyworker to provide tailored support for students with special educational needs (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a thriving school community and make a significant difference in the lives of children with ADHD and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Build strong and trusting relationships with SEN students, fostering a sense of safety and inclusion.
  • Implement and monitor personalized support plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students manage their emotions, improve focus, and engage in learning.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo, teachers, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for each child.
  • Assist in developing and delivering interventions that address emotional regulation, behavior management, and social skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, contributing to reports and reviews as required.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos and best practices in SEN provision.
  • Work closely with families, offering regular communication and guidance to ensure consistent support between school and home.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience working with children with ADHD and SEMH needs, ideally in an educational or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • A calm, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
