SEN Keyworker – OUTSTANDING Primary School - Kensington and Chelsea
Job Summary
An outstanding primary school in Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Keyworker to provide tailored support for students with special educational needs (SEN). Responsibilities and Duties
- Build strong and trusting relationships with SEN students, fostering a sense of safety and inclusion.
- Implement and monitor personalized support plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students manage their emotions, improve focus, and engage in learning.
- Collaborate with the SENDCo, teachers, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for each child.
- Assist in developing and delivering interventions that address emotional regulation, behavior management, and social skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, contributing to reports and reviews as required.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the school’s inclusive ethos and best practices in SEN provision.
- Work closely with families, offering regular communication and guidance to ensure consistent support between school and home.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience working with children with ADHD and SEMH needs, ideally in an educational or therapeutic setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- A calm, empathetic, and positive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
