Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide visionary leadership for the Physics department, setting clear direction and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of a stimulating and challenging Physics curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the National Curriculum and incorporates the latest advancements in Physics education.
- Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of the Physics teaching staff.
- Budget effectively to ensure the department has the necessary resources to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Teaching and Learning:
- Contribute to the teaching of Physics across the curriculum, potentially including Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11).
- Foster a love of Physics in students and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to excel in the subject.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- A highly qualified and experienced Physics teacher with a proven track record of leadership success.
