Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide in-class support to teachers, helping to deliver engaging lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist with planning and implementing small group or one-on-one interventions for students requiring additional support.
• Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence.
• Supervise students during activities such as break times, lunch, and school trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Prepare learning materials and resources to enhance classroom activities.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
• Support the school’s ethos and values, promoting inclusion, kindness, and respect throughout the school community.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within a prep or primary school setting.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of a dynamic school environment.
• Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or teaching assistance are desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
