The Role:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and the school's curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities
  • Inspire students to develop a love of art and appreciate its diverse forms and historical contexts
  • Contribute to the development and enrichment of the Art curriculum
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance learning
  • Guide students in exploring various art media and techniques, fostering their creativity and technical skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a strong background in Art, Fine Art, or a related field, with a relevant degree from a reputable university
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of successful Art teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Is an enthusiastic and engaging educator with a genuine passion for art and a desire to inspire young minds
  • Has excellent subject knowledge across all key stages and art specialisms
  • Is committed to fostering a love of learning and promoting creativity and artistic expression in all students
  • Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
