Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Work across the curriculum to address individual learning, social, and emotional needs.
- Develop and adapt learning materials and strategies to align with each student’s objectives.
- Encourage positive behavior and support students in building confidence and independence.
- Maintain open communication with parents, teachers, and other staff to monitor and share student progress.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive school environment by adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
- Understanding of strategies to support students with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently when required.
- A strong commitment to promoting the well-being and success of all students.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary or secondary setting.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and the ability to support students across various subjects.
