An OUTSTANDING-rated primary school in Lambeth is seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting January 2025. Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with additional needs.
• Assist with planning and preparation of resources to enhance learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
• Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
• Ensure the classroom remains a safe and welcoming space, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with the wider school team to deliver targeted interventions and support programs.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate.
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Understanding of the primary curriculum.
