Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide individualized and small-group support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt lesson plans as required.
- Assist in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
- Support students during transitions and unstructured times, helping to ensure consistency and comfort.
- Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.
- Contribute to staff meetings and CPD sessions to promote inclusive practices within the school.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly, SEMH in an educational setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
