Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide individualized and small-group support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt lesson plans as required.
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
• Support students during transitions and unstructured times, helping to ensure consistency and comfort.
• Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.
• Contribute to staff meetings and CPD sessions to promote inclusive practices within the school.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD, in an educational setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with diverse needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
