On behalf of our esteemed client, a reputable secondary school in Surrey with a strong commitment to language education, we are seeking a dynamic and highly qualified French and Spanish Teacher. This full-time, permanent position commences in September and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic and cultural enrichment of young learners.
The Position
As a French and Spanish Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' language proficiency and cultural awareness across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire a lifelong love of language learning through engaging lessons, innovative teaching methods, and a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive language instruction in French and Spanish, aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational objectives.
- Create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, fosters critical thinking, and celebrates student achievement.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing personalized feedback to support individual growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Modern Foreign Languages department to enhance the overall language program and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in language education, incorporating innovative teaching strategies into your practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in French, Spanish, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching French and Spanish at the secondary level.
- Native or near-native fluency in both French and Spanish.
- A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering cultural understanding.
