This role specifically focuses on teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Position
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring instruction to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in fostering a love of language and literature, while nurturing students' critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality English lessons that are aligned with the national curriculum, the school's Christian ethos, and the needs of diverse learners in KS3 and KS4.
- Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and intellectual curiosity.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing differentiated learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and the wider school community to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Remain current with the latest pedagogical approaches and advancements in English language and literature education, specifically for KS3 and KS4.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level, specifically KS3 and KS4.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for KS3 and KS4.
