What You’ll Do:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning space.
  • Support students across all subjects, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Develop resources and strategies to help students achieve their goals.
  • Foster confidence and independence through positive behaviour management.
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, and staff to track student progress.
  • Maintain a safe and caring environment, adhering to safeguarding policies.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of how to support students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Commitment to fostering student welfare and development.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience supporting students with SEN in primary or secondary schools.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum.
