An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and resilient English Teacher to join a pupil referral unit (PRU) in Lambeth. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is committed to re-engaging students with their education and supporting them in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Provide tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
• Create and adapt resources to engage and meet the diverse needs of all students.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and implementing interventions where necessary.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and colleagues to develop personalized learning strategies for each student.
• Foster high standards of behaviour, promoting mutual respect and understanding in the classroom.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably within a PRU or SEN setting.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and the ability to differentiate teaching methods.
• Excellent communication skills to engage and motivate students with complex needs.
• A passion for promoting inclusivity, equality, and student well-being.
